Seahawk injury report: Wagner doubtful (but probably out), Lynch listed as questionable but Carroll says he’s fine

Seattle’s official injury report for Friday has been released, and for the most part contains no real surprises.

Listed as out for Sunday’s game are Spencer Ware (ankle) and Breno Giacomini (knee).

Listed as questionable is middle linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle). However, coach Pete Carroll, in his session with the media after practice, indicated Wagner won’t play saying there is “an outside chance if you are really optimistic.”

In other words, don’t expect him out there Sunday, with K.J. Wright instead moving to the middle, Malcolm Smith to weakside linebacker and Bruce Irvin to the strong side.

Listed as questionable are RB Marshawn Lynch and TE Zach Miller.

Lynch has a hip issue, Carroll said, but the coach also said that “he’s fine” indicating he will play.

Miller missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury and Carroll said he is “really close. He ran very well this week. We rested him today but he’s got a chance. We’ll work him out on gameday.”

Listed as probable are C Max Unger (triceps), CB Jeremy Lane (hamstring), CB Walter Thurmond (knee), DL Michael Bennett (quadriceps) and WR Sidney Rice (knee). As the designation implies, all are expected to play.

Carroll said Rice was rested on Friday but should be good to go for the game.

Carroll said Unger had a good week of practice and is ready to return after missing two weeks.

Lane practiced Friday and Carroll said he appears to be recovering quickly and could be ready Sunday.
