Seahawks favored by six at Arizona

It’s a quick turnaround for the Seahawks as they now prepare for a game Thursday at Arizona.

In Vegas, Seattle is favored by anywhere from 5.5-to-7 — I’ll settle on six for now as that is the most-common spread.

Seattle, after starting out 4-0 against the spread, has now lost two in a row against the number, losing outright last Sunday in Indianapolis and then failing to cover a 13-point spread against the Titans.

The Arizona game will be a tricky one to read. Seattle is the better team on paper, but the Seahawks have struggled in the desert, losing seven their last nine there dating to 2004, including a 20-16 defeat in the season opener a year ago, that was also Russell Wilson’s first game as an NFL quarterback.

And you’d have to imagine that at least a few Arizona players are sure to bring up Seattle’s 58-0 win over the Cardinals in Seattle last season. May be a tricky one for the gamblers to assess.
