NFL.com reports Harvin to begin practicing next week

NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport is reporting this morning that Percy Harvin will begin practicing with the Seahawks next week:

That’s not a huge surprise given the optimistic comments on Monday from coach Pete Carroll when he said everything was “going great” on Harvin’s return.

But a report that he will definitively being practice next week indicates that there have indeed been no setbacks suffered during his recent workouts and that the team has seen enough of what they needed to see in his workouts to clear him.

After playing Arizona tonight, the Seahawks will be off through the weekend before returning to work on Monday in preparation for a game the following Monday at St. Louis.

Harvin has been sidelined since having hip surgery Aug. 1.
