Okung listed as returning to practice

Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung was listed as returning to practice by the team today, a step in the process of getting the 2012 Pro Bowler back on the field in a few weeks.

Okung has been on the Injured Reserve/Designated To Return list since injuring his toe against the 49ers on Sept. 15.

That list meant Okung had to sit out eight weeks, but could return to practice after six.

Coach Pete Carroll said Friday the hope was that Okung could return to practice this weekend and go through workouts prior to Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay.

It appears as if that’s what will now happen with Okung returning to practice.

Okung is not eligible to play until the Nov. 17 game against Minnesota. But the listing of returning to practice today appears to indicate all is on track for Okung getting back for that game.
