Monday press conference notes: Carroll doesn’t expect Harvin to play this week

Here are a few quick notes from Pete Carroll’s press conference Monday:

— He said again that Russell Wilson is “banged up” but that he is not expected to miss any practices this week;

— Carroll said Percy Harvin had a good workout today but that he doesn’t expect Harvin to play this week;

— He said again Russell Okung and Breno Giacomini will likely return to practice Wednesday but that he doesn’t expect Giacomini to play this week at Atlanta;

— He said both Max Unger and Red Bryant had “concussion-like symptoms” coming out of the game and each will need to be watched this week to see their progress and if they can play. He said a determination on each won’t be made until Thursday at the earliest. He said the team will prepare this week as if they won’t have them just in case;

— He talked a bit about the run defense and I’ll pass along full quotes on that later;

— He also said he is waiting to hear from the NFL on the pass interference ruling that nullified an Earl Thomas interception in the first half;

— I’ll pass along more detailed quotes later.
