Seahawks pass rush could be key against Saints
One of the most talked about aspects of Seattle’s matchup with New Orleans is that the Seahawks will be playing without Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond, two of their top cornerbacks.
That would be a significant loss regardless of the opponent, but it’s been magnified because the Saints are second in the league in passing yards per game. With that being said, Seattle’s ability to get pressure on Drew Brees with just its four-man rush could be especially crucial this week.
“Every game for us,” defensive coordinator Dan Quinn said, before adding: “But anytime you face a really good quarterback like we have this week, the awareness is there. Hey, we’ve got to get this guy off the spot and be able to move him because he is such a talented guy.”
