Video: Richard Sherman

There’s little doubt the Seattle-San Francisco game is becoming a rivalry.

But most of the talking this week seems to be coming from the Bay Area, such as these comments today from Donte Whitner.

If there’s a Seahawk that might be expected to play it up, it would be cornerback Richard Sherman. But he didn’t add much fuel to the fire today.

Asked about some of the comments from the 49ers, Sherman said today: “I feel like they feel that way. We just go out and play our game. Every week is a championship week …We go out there and worry about what we have to do. We don’t worry about anything else.”

Sherman, in his weekly meeting with the media, was also asked about the story of the 49ers distributing instructions to their fans on how to cheer this week.

“I heard that,” he said. “Hopefully they follow their directions. Our fans usually are pretty good about that. But hey, whatever you’ve got to do.”
