Sherman fined, Harvin out, and a few other notes

A few quick notes to pass along while waiting for Pete Carroll to address the media after Friday’s practice. …

— Carroll said on his regular Friday appearance on KIRO that Percy Harvin won’t play Sunday. That’s hardly a surprise given that he hasn’t done anything on a football field since playing against the Vikings Nov. 17. We’ll surely get more details on that soon. Here’s the podcast to listen.

Richard Sherman has been fined the standard $7,875 for his personal foul in Monday’s game against the Saints when he hit Kenny Stills late:

— Lots of people throwing in the name of Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell as a potential candidate to replace the suddenly fired Gary Kubiak in Houston:

— And Brian McIntyre is reporting that DT D’Anthony Smith is now earning $20,000 a week on the practice squad instead of $10,000, obviously an inducement to keep him from accepting an offer on an active roster elsewhere:
