As kickoff time nears, the Seahawks remain a consensus seven-point favorite over the Giants in tomorrow’s game.
And ss kickoff nears, it’s also beginning to snow like crazy back here, which could be a pretty big wildcard in things tomorrow — though it also sounds like that isn’t as likely to happen during the game itself (here’s a current forecast calling for a little more moderate temperatures Sunday).
I made my pick a few days ago, though, and will stick to it — Seahawks 24, Giants 13.
On top of holding basically every single statistical edge for the season, Seattle also has everything to play for while the Giants have already been eliminated from the playoffs.
This game may be as simple as that.
I also anticipate, though, the Seahawks breaking a little bit of a drought in the interception area (they have gotten four in the last five games after getting 13 in the first eight) and getting the running game going better than they have (an average of 102 the last three games, down from the 141.5 average for the season).
So snow or not, figure the Seahawks leaving here at 12-2, a step closer to the NFC West title, if not already holding crown depending on what the 49ers do.
