Here are a few quick notes from Pete Carroll’s meeting with the media today, with some video below:
— Nothing really new on cornerback Brandon Browner and Percy Harvin. Carroll said the plan is to wait and see where they are physically on Wednesday and take it from there. Nothing has yet been settled on Browner’s appeal of his proposed suspension, so for now he is on the active roster and if he gets healthy he can play;
— Carroll said both CB Jeremy Lane (stinger) and S Earl Thomas (thigh) are fine. There were no other reported injuries;
— Carroll said LB K.J. Wright could be running in 4-5 weeks so there’s a chance he could be available for a playoff game (more likely the NFC title game or Super Bowl given that time frame);
— Carroll said the fact that the Seahawks are still playing meaningful games “could be the best-case scenario” to assure that the team doesn’t lose its edge heading into the playoffs;
— Carroll again said he thought the pass coverage Sunday was as good as it’s been, and he also said the tackling in the run game has improved markedly since the mini-defensive slump at mid-season.
Here is some video of the first few minutes of his press conference today, and I’ll have some more complete quotes later:
