Morning links: Seahawks defense on the rise

Let’s get to the links. …

— Though first, remember that we will chat today at noon;

— Here’s my story for the Tuesday paper, reviewing Seattle’s defensive performance of Sunday. If you missed it, Seattle moved into the top spot in fewest points allowed with the shutout Sunday and already were No. 1 in fewest yards allowed. Seattle has never led the NFL in both categories in the same season. It led the NFL in fewest points allowed last year at 245, the only time it has done that, and never has in fewest yards allowed;

— Seahawks.com says the team is prepared to face the No. 1-ranked run defense in the NFL in Arizona;

— Seahawks.com also has this on Russell Wilson;

Pat Kirwan of CBSSports.com wonders if any team has a playoff answer for the Seahawks;

— A feature on Seattle backup safety and key special teams player Chris Maragos;

Danny O’Neil with what he learned from the game;

— ESPN’s Upon Further Review from the Seahawks-Giants game;

— The Associated Press says the Seahawks have a Super look;

— An SBNation review of the Seattle-New York from a Giants’ perspective;

— The Arizona Republic says the Cardinals pretty quickly turned their sights to the Seahawks;

— CBSSports.com with an early preview of the game;

— The key injury question this week revolves around Larry Fitzgerald, who suffered a concussion late in the win over the Titans and is scheduled to see the doctor today;

— Even 11 wins might keep the Cardinals out of the playoffs;

— This is pretty fun from Sports on Earth on the best and worst NFL announcers.
