Fines announced for penalties in Rams-Seahawks games

Friday is the day when the NFL reveals fines for various infractions in the previous week’s games.

And four players have received the standard $7,875 fine for penalties called against them in Seattle’s rather raucous 27-9 win over St. Louis last Sunday — one Seahawk (Kam Chancellor) and three Rams (Kendall Langford, Eugene Sims and Chase Reynolds).

Chancellor was fined after being flagged for unnecessary roughness following a running play in the first quarter.

Langford was the Ram player who was ejected for making contact with an official and then slamming his helmet to the ground as he left.

Sims was called for unnecessary roughness following a Seattle punt in the first quarter.

And Reynolds was called for both running into the punter and then unnecessary roughness after another Seattle punt in the first quarter, the play on which there were ultimately four penalties called.
