You no doubt know that San Francisco kicked a field goal as time ran out to beat Green Bay today.
So that means the NFC Divisional playoff round is set as Seattle will host the New Orleans Saints Saturday at 1:35 p.m. while the 49ers will play at the Carolina Panthers Sunday at 10:05 a.m.
And that means that should Seattle advance to the NFC title game that it will face a team it played during the regular season.
Seattle beat Carolina 12-7 in the season opener, and split the series with the 49ers, winning 29-3 at home and losing 19-17 in San Francisco.
And while San Francisco and New Orleans each won as lower-seeded road teams, their victories also mean that the teams that finished with the top four records in the NFC finish as the final four standing in the NFC playoffs — Seattle was 13-3, Carolina and San Francisco 12-4 and the Saints 11-5.
