The latest news and analysis from all angles on the Seahawks.

Sunday morning links: “After that game we lost to them, we were hoping we would see them again.”

Let the hype begin on Seattle’s first playoff game.

The above quote is from New Orleans running back Mark Ingram, the former Heisman Trophy winner who was a key part of the Saints’ win over the Eagles Saturday.

Here’s a whole lot more coverage on the Saints from the New Orleans Times-PicayuneNFL.com and ESPN, including this ESPN Quick Take on the matchup with the Seahawks. Some video of Drew Brees’ press conference after the game. And here’s a report from Seahawks.com.

As Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Friday, coaches planned to begin gameplanning the minute they knew their opponent. So expect them to be in the offices all day today breaking down the Saints and hoping to come up with another plan that works as well as did the one on Dec. 2, when Seattle beat New Orleans 34-7.

We’ll have plenty on the matchup with the Saints as the week progresses.

For now, here are a few more notes and links. …

— Nice story in our paper today on the team’s first linebacking corps;

— Times columnist Jerry Brewer reviewed the team’s fourth quarter of the season, continuing his year-long series;

— And I handed out fourth quarter grades for the offense, defense and special teams;

— You can now add the Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans the list of teams that would like to talk to Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell (and once again, here is the calendar of when assistants on playoff teams can be interviewed);

— Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn also being mentioned as a possibility at Tennessee;

— And good stuff here on how Vegas views the playoffs.
