Terry McAulay to referee Seahawks-Saints game

The good folks at FootballZebras.com have a breakdown of the officiating assignments for this weekend’s NFL games.

And as noted, the crew for the Seattle-New Orleans game will be headed by veteran Terry McAulay.

As FootballZebras states:

This is McAulay’s 13th postseason assignment (2 wild card playoffs, 2 divisional playoffs, 7 conference championships, and Super Bowls XXXIX and XLIII). His Super Bowl assignments were both as a referee.

McAulay handled one Seahawks game this season, Seattle’s 34-22 win at Arizona on Oct. 17 (if you recall, Arizona coach Bruce Arians thought McAulay gave Russell Wilson the benefit of the doubt on a key play in that win).

Here’s a breakdown of all of McAulay’s assignments through the years.

And McAulay is forever linked to this one dubious moment in NFL history.
