Lynch appreciates support of fans

Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch did indeed speak to the media again this week, as scheduled meeting with reporters for a few minutes in the locker room following Thursday’s practice.

There was nothing real revelatory but he did answer a handful of questions over about three-and-a-half minutes.

Among the highlights:

— Said he won his appeal of his $50,000 fine for not speaking to the media, but that details were confidential (the NFL has said the fine is stayed as long as he continues to talk through the playoffs);

— In maybe the most entertaining sequence, when he was asked what he recalled of his “Beast Quake” run against the Saints in 2011, he said “it was loud.” Asked if there was anything else, he said “it was really loud.”

— Asked about the support he got from Seahawks fans in the wake of the fine, he said: “I appreciate it. It’s big time.”

— Asked about the state of the running game, he they “just need to stay together as a team” and it will work out fine.

— Asked about playing the Saints again, he said “last time we played them we were pretty successful. Just hope for the same outcome.”

He also said he was glad to get his body rested over the bye week.
