Marshawn Lynch: “I don’t run to get tackled”

For the first time this season, Marshawn Lynch talked after a game. Here’s what he had to say:

(On his feelings after having a big game…)  “I just think we played a good team game.”

(On the performance by the Seahawks defense…)  “They did a great job, boss.”

(On how he felt on the field and what it means to get the win…)  “It just means that we get another opportunity to play another game.”

(On not much happening for the offense at the start of the second half and if he took it upon himself to get something going…)  “No, I just stayed with what we were calling and just believed in my team.”

(On if he noticed a change in Russell Wilson in the second half…)  “I mean, that’s just what he does. That’s his job as the quarterback.”

(On Doug Baldwin’s catch…)  “Great catch, great catch.”

(On if he expected them to try to tackle him out of bounds on his TD run…)  “I don’t run to get tackled.”

(On the Saints not seeming to make the effort to tackle him at the end…)  “I was surprised.”

(On if he noticed the Saints doing much different this week than when they played them in December…)  “No, not really.”
