The already high emotional pitch of an NFL playoff game got even more heated a couple of hours prior to the Seattle-New Orleans game Saturday when Saints tight end Jimmy Graham and some Seahawks, including linebacker Bruce Irvin, had to be separated after a few words were exchanged.
No punches were thrown, but Graham reportedly ripped Irvin’s beanie.
It’s common for players of each team to use the same parts of the field before the game and Graham was catching passes in an end zone in which some Seattle defensive players were warming up.
