Seattle inactives: Carpenter a healthy scratch

Seattle’s list of seven inactives for the game against the Saints today includes a surprise — guard James Carpenter, listed as a backup to Paul McQuistan at left guard.

Carpenter is healthy, so this is apparently just a  playing decision. Don’t be surprised if Michael Bowie starts at LG, with J.R. Sweezy at RG.

The other inactives for Seattle are: WR Bryan Walters, RB Christine Michael, LB K.J. Wright, OT Caylin Hauptmann, DE Benson Mayowa and DT Jordan Hill.

Hill had a groin injury this week and Wright is out with a broken foot. The rest are healthy inactives.

And obviously that means Chris Maragos, listed as questionable with a groin injury, is active.

For New Orleans, the big news is that RB Pierre Thomas, battling a chest injury, is inactive. However, DE Akiem Hicks, battling an ankle injury, is active.
