Richard Sherman fined by NFL

Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was fined $7,875 by the NFL for taunting in the final minute of Sunday’s NFC championship game against San Francisco, according to the NFL.

Sherman tipped a pass in the final seconds that was then intercepted by linebacker Malcolm Smith in the end zone. After the play, which secured Seattle’s spot in the Super Bowl, Sherman made a choke gesture directed at San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Sherman was penalized on the play.
