So will the weather really impact the game?

It’s starting to look like all the hemming and hawing (at least there was no heeing and hawing) about the weather for the Super Bowl may have been for relative naught.

Pro Football Talk has details of the latest weather forecasts, calling for clear skies and temperatures of 34 degrees at kickoff with only a 10 percent chance of rain and other stuff that falls from the sky.

So the weather may not be that big a deal despite the incessant questions about it at Seattle’s media availability today (with many more, I’m sure, coming tomorrow).

Times columnist Jerry Brewer, though, says the fact that the weather is such a topic of conversation may be reason enough to be wary of any more cold-weather locale Super Bowls.
