Percy Harvin: “I definitely think I can be a factor in this game”

Back from media day, where I didn’t find a lot of hard news, if all kinds of interesting little anecdotes and notes.

All of us who were there will have lots more throughout the day, here and on our main site.

What news there was for the Seahawks may have been WR Percy Harvin reiterating that he feels as good as he has all season heading into the Super Bowl.

Harvin was one of the 17 Seahawks assigned to a podum, and he seemed in good spirits throughout.

Asked about his health, Harvin said: “I think I can be as explosive as I’ve ever been. My legs are feeling  great. I am finally able to get drive in my legs that I need to come out of my breaks a little quicker than I was before the (concussion). So I definitely think I can be a factor in this game.”

Asked if he had any worries about getting re-injured, Harvin said: “Those injuries,  the concussions and the hip, definitely were unfortunate situations that I wish didn’t happen. But I’ve played football a long time so I’m not worried about that at all.”

Harvin, in fact, seemed almost giddy at the thought of re-joining the Seattle lineup at full strength.

“We are going to be explosive,” he said. “We are definitely going to be explosive. It’ll be good to join the guys — Doug (Baldwin) and (Jermaine) Kearse and Big Beast Mode (Marshawn Lynch) and led by the man in charge, Number Three (Russell Wilson). I think we are definitely going to be explosive and we are definitely looking to make a lot of big plays in this game.”
