NFL Network’s Rapoport says Seahawks will re-sign Bennett, prioritize Thomas

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network and NFL.com had some interesting comments about Seattle’s free agent decisions following the season.

Here’s what he said:

“They have two impending free agents: Golden Tate, their star receiver, and Michael Bennett, their star defensive end. Bennett they will re-sign; Golden Tate they are going to try if they have space. They have two players in the Legion of Boom, their vaunted secondary, who are due contract extensions this offseason because they are heading into the final year of their deals in 2014: Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas. I am told Thomas, not Sherman, is their number one priority.”

We’ll explore this a lot more once the season ends, but wanted to pass this along for today.
