49ers issued warning but no fine for play in NFC title game

There was finally resolution to a play in the Seattle-San Francisco NFC title game on Jan. 19 that got a lot of attention after the game, the play where Seahawks gunner Jeremy Lane was hit by an unidentified member of the 49er staff (clearly not a player) during the play.

The resolution, th0ugh, may not appease some Seattle fans as the 49ers received a warning, but not a fine, according to CNSBayarea.com.

ESPN also  has a similar story.

Here is what Lane said about the play in the aftermath of the game.

The upshot is, this now appears to be a closed case, though also an added chapter to the already white-hot Seahawk-49er rivalry that may well resume on Sept. 4 at CenturyLink Field as there is a lot of speculation that the NFL could pit those two teams for the Thursday season-opening game in Seattle — traditionally, the Super Bowl winner is a host of one of the games played on that day.
