Rice Tweets what appears to be a goodbye message to 12th Man

The Seahawks have yet to officially make a move with receiver Sidney Rice, though it has long been speculated that he will be released, and a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter earlier today said it will happen.

And now comes a Tweet from Rice himself that appears to be a goodbye to Seattle fans:

For the record, the NFL’s official list of transactions today did not include any moves by the Seahawks. But that obviously doesn’t mean Rice couldn’t have been told he will  be released.

Rice is due to make $17.5 million over the next two years and also is still in the process of rehabbing a season-ending ACL injury suffered Oct. 28 — the two reasons everyone has assumed for months he was unlikely to be back in 2014 (or if he were to return, with a restructured deal).
