Bryant on KJR-AM: “It was out of my hands”

In case you missed it, now former Seahawk defensive lineman Red Bryant was a guest on KJR-AM on Friday, talking about the end of his Seattle career and finding a new home with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

You can listen here.

Maybe most relevance is what Bryant says about whether there was any talk of him coming back to Seattle, either re-signing after being cut or restructuring.

Bryant says no.

“I was never given that opportunity,” he said. “They had a vision of where they wanted to take the program and I just wasn’t a part of that vision.”

Bryant said he understood, calling it a business decision and rattling off the list of all the players the team will need to re-sign in coming seasons.

“The decision was made and it was out of my hands,” he said.
