Sweezy tops Seattle’s performance-based pay list

As detailed by Jason La Confora of CBSSports,com, the NFL has released its annual list of performance-based pay.

As noted in the story “the performance-based pay program works to compensate players whose level of playing time was much higher than what their salary would have paid.”

And as might be expected the Seahawks had a few players who made it pretty well, led by guard J.R. Sweezy, who started all but one game in 2013 and netted $258,414.02 in performance-based pay, ranking ninth on the list. Sweezy played 952 snaps in 2013, 94.1 percent of available plays, second on the offense behind Russell Wilson’s 96.2 percent

You can fine the entire list here.

Here are a few of the other top performance-based earners for the Seahawks:

Richard Sherman, $198,713.56

Doug Baldwin, $181,446.80;

Russell Wilson, $169,141.73

Michael Bowie, $160,794.22

Jermaine Kearse, $152,899.89

Malcolm Smith, $144,933.27

Byron Maxwell, $142,434.85

K.J. Wright, $141,640.70
