Seahawks respond to NFL outlawing goalpost dunking

What so far is the big news of the day emanating from the NFL Meetings in Orlando is the league announcing that dunking the ball over the goalpost will now be illegal.

(Technically, the league is saying that banning the goalpost dunk is simply enforcing the current rule limiting post-TD celebrations — read that explanation here).

There doesn’t seem to be anybody in favor of this, with a few Seahawks, as well as New Orleans’ Jimmy Graham — one of the more notorious post-TD dunkers in the league — Tweeting their displeasure at the ruling (and making this one thing about which Graham and any member of the Seahawks agree on).

One of the funnier reactions came from Seattle LB Malcolm Smith, whose attempt at a dunk following this interception return for a TD that helped win him Super Bowl¬† MVP honors didn’t go so well:
