Friday links: Seahawks take cool trip with Lombardi Trophy

We’ll start with something that Seahawks linebacker Mike Morgan Tweeted last night — a really cool trip the team made with the Lombardi Trophy:

Hard to top that.

IN OTHER NEWS. …

— PK Steven Hauschka with a nice return to Middlebury College this week.

— ESPN’s Adam Caplan Tweeted today that Boise State DE Demarcus Lawrence is scheduled for a visit with the Seahawks. UW fans may remember Lawrence being suspended for the Las Vegas Bowl¬† in 2012 for a violation of team rules.

— Could the Seahawks be better in 2014?

— FoxSports looks at what the Seahawks need in the draft.

— ESPN’s Mike Sando with lots of good stuff in his chat yesterday, including this assessment of Seattle’s draft needs:

“Maybe both lines. I think they’re in a good position here without a ton of big needs. But if they could get another good prospect on the offensive line, it would buy some options behind Russell Okung, who might be an odd man out when it comes time to re-sign some of the younger players such as Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman. And then on the DL, I don’t see a big need, but you can never have enough of them.”

— CBSSports.com breaks down the defensive backs available in the 2014 draft.

— NFL.com with good stuff on the fifth-year option tracker and which players have had their options picked up (for Seattle, James Carpenter, taken 25th overall, would be the one player impacted).

— The 49ers reportedly are not picking up Aldon Smith’s option.
