NFL.com has a recap this morning of some of what Russell Wilson had to say on an interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio today, Wilson’s first comments since the team traded for Terrelle Pryor on Monday.
Wilson, as might be expected, welcomes the addition of Pryor, saying:
“I think the thing about our quarterback room is that we want to be the hardest-working guys in the room, and the hardest-working guys in the building. That’s the way we look at it. I know that Terrelle will bring that to the table. We’re looking forward to that. I’m looking forward to just being around him and getting out there. I know that our locker room definitely became more athletic with him. He can do a lot of great things.”
As the story notes, Pryor is expected to come to Seattle working initially solely at quarterback, despite initial speculation that maybe he will try other positions.
Seattle also has Tarvaris Jackson and B.J. Daniels signed as quarterbacks for the 2014 season. Daniels is actually signed through the 2015 season but with no guaranteed money.
Seattle actually never had more than three quarterbacks on its roster at any time last season, so it will be interesting to watch this unfold through the off-season and into training camp.
