Seahawks trade No. 40 pick to Detroit, get No. 45 and two others

The Seahawks have again moved down in the NFL Draft, trading the No. 40 pick and No. 146 in the fifth round to Detroit for the 45th pick as well as No. 111 in the fourth round and 227 in the seventh.

The Lions then used the pick to take Brigham Young linebacker Kyle Van Noy.

The No. 40 pick was a choice Seattle acquired on Thursday night when it traded the No. 32 overall pick to Minnesota for Nos. 40 and 108.

Seattle now has eight picks in the 2014 draft.

Here is the order:

Second round, No. 45 (from Detroit)

Second round, No. 64

Fourth round, No. 108 (from Minnesota)

Fourth round, No. 111 (from Detroit)

Fourth round, No. 132

Fifth round, No. 172

Sixth round, No. 208

Seventh round, No. 227 (from Detroit)
