Seahawks take fullback Kiero Small of Arkansas with final pick of 2014 draft

The Seahawks have selected fullback Kiero Small of Arkansas with the final pick of the 2014 draft.

Seattle didn’t re-sign Michael Robinson after last season but has Derrick Coleman and Spencer Ware back to play the spot.

This scouting report lists him at 5-8, 244 pounds, but the school listed him at 5-10, 242.

He’s another under-the-radar player, and he didn’t have an NFL.com profile.

He did not attend the Combine, but as this story notes, played well at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

ESPN’s Bill Polian was quoted in that story as calling Small an intriguing prospect, saying “he’s got punch.”

The story also details his abilities as a lead blocker.

This story details some of his pre-draft workouts.

Here is some video of Small:

I’ve got a feeling if he’s fast enough he could make it as a running back because he’s got punch,” Polian said during a televised practice session at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl . “As you could see there, he can adjust and catch the ball. It’s a question of how fast he’s going to be. But he’s a guy that’s interesting. You’re going to want to go back and do a little more work on him.” – See more at: http://arkansasnews.com/sports/small-eager-pro-day-opportunity#sthash.dILP8yCG.dpuf
