The Seahawks revealed this afternoon the jersey numbers for the new draftees and undrafted free agents.
You can see the entire roster with numbers here.
Here are a few of the more notable players and their numbers:
Paul Richardson, 10
Justin Britt, 68
Cassius Marsh, 91
Kevin Norwood, 81
Kevin Pierre-Louis, 58
Jimmy Staten, 67
Garrett Scott, 75
Kiero Small, 34
Keith Price, 1
Dion Bailey, 37
Jackson Jeffcoat, 43
Andru Pulu, 66
So yep, that means Golden Tate’s old number 81 has been handed to Norwood, and that Brandon Browner’s former No. 39 has been handed to Pinkins, whom the team has compared in size and possible style to Browner.
Also, Britt gets the No. 68 that had belong to Breno Giacomini, a player he was drafted to help replace. And same with Marsh, who gets Chris Clemons’ old 91.
It’s worth noting, though, that with 90 players and Seattle having three retired jerseys (12, 71, 96 and 80) and one that hasn’t been used since Matt Hasselbeck retired (8) that there aren’t a lot of options (there are also rules requiring players who play certain positions to wear numbers in a specific range).
