Seahawks to visit White House Wednesday

The Seahawks next Wednesday will take part in what has become one of the more notable traditions for a Super Bowl champion, being honored at the White House by the President of the United States.

A press release announcing the event says only that it will take place “in the afternoon.”

The tradition of Super Bowl champions visiting the White House is said to date to the 1969 New York Jets.
