Monday links: Seahawks and free agents have mutually beneficial relationship

Did any of the players trying out this weekend earn themselves spots on Seattle’s 90-man camp roster?

We’ll find out soon.

Lots of rumors last night on social media. But as of yet, no official word from the team. We’ll pass along that along if/when, there is.

Jayson Jenks wrote today about the mutually beneficial relationship between the Seahawks and free agents, focusing on Benson Mayowa — the one tryout player from 2013 to end up sticking on the roster — and Brock Coyle.

Remember that the Seahawks will also visit the White House on Wednesday. Otherwise, this could be a light news week for the Seahawks. Our next look at them won’t come until May 27 when they begin OTAs.

For now, a few more links. …

Michael Silver says the Browns should handle Johnny Manziel the way the Seahawks did Russell Wilson.

Pat Kirwan, though, likes how the Browns are handling Manziel and also has some stuff on how rookie contracts are now perfunctory.
