The Seahawks today officially announced the signings of draft picks Justin Britt and Garrett Scott.
Britt had earlier Tweeted the news of his signing, detailed in the post below.
Scott, an offensive tackle from Marshall, was the team’s sixth-round pick, taken 199th overall.
OvertheCap.com estimates that Scott would receive a singing bonus of $101,672 on the standard rookie four-year deal, worth a possible total of $2.321 million.
Seven of Seattle’s nine 2014 draftees are now under contract. The only two who are not are fourth-round WR Kevin Norwood and fourth-round LB Kevin Pierre-Louis.
Scott is projected to play left tackle. He did not participate in the team’s rookie mini-camp last weekend with coach Pete Carroll said they were still working to “get him through” his physical. Scott’s signing would come with the assumption that he has passed the physical, though that is not confirmed by the team.
