Scott added to Reserve/Non-Football Injury list

In what was sort of a procedural move today, the Seahawks added offensive linemen Garrett Scott to their Reserve/Non-Football Injury list after he cleared waivers.

Scott had been waived with the non-football injury designation last week after it was discovered during a physical that he had a rare heart defect.

Scott will not count against the Seahawks’ 90-man roster. He will hang around the team and likely draw at least some of his first-year salary after having been taken by the team in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The plan remains that Scott will have some treatment and will rest and tests will be conducted again in a few months to determine if he can possibly return to the field in 2015.
