Saturday links and notes

— Add Chunky Soup to Richard Sherman’s list of endorsements.

— Detroit trying to copy Seattle’s multiple defensive fronts.

— Nothing really new on the Colin Kaepernick investigation that also involves Seattle’s Ricardo Lockette, with a police spokesman saying they are waiting on a key piece of evidence before deciding how to proceed, according to the Sacramento Bee.

— USA Today says Brandon Mebane is Seattle’s most underrated player.

— USA Today also includes Sherman’s commercial with Michelle Obama among its top five videos of the week.

Lane Kiffin says there are more similarities than you might think between Nick Saban and Pete Carroll. Hmmm.

— No way around it — the  loss to suspension of linebacker Daryl Washington is a big blow for Arizona’s defense.

— Is Joe Namath really 71 years old?
