— The NFL Network unveiled players 30-21 on its Top 100 countdown of the top players from 2014 last night. None were Seahawks, meaning the list still contains just one Seattle player — safety Kam Chancellor at No. 65. You’d think that the rest of the list would be pretty heavily-populated with Seahawks as Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch sure to be on the list (you’d think). Seems like you could have made a pretty good case for a defensive linemen such as Michael Bennett or Brandon Mebane, as well, though at this point you’d imagine they won’t be on the list. And yes, we can all agree that such lists are ultimately meaningless, etc. But the players definitely notice, as evidenced by this Tweet from Chancellor a few weeks ago intimating that he should he should have been higher:
Top 100 a joke.. Take me off please.

— John Schneider was honored yesterday in Green Bay.
— Zach Miller and Luke Willson mentioned in NFL.com’s tight end rankings.
— ESPN with some thoughts from Russell Wilson.
— And some thoughts from Justin Britt to his hometown newspaper.
— Cliff Avril also getting honored, and with some thoughts on his first year with the Seahawks.
