Wednesday links and notes: Wilson on QBs and race, Sherman calls out Crabree and more

Time again to get caught up on some links. …

— In case y0u missed it, Russell Wilson wrote a guest story for Monday Morning Quarterback on the significance of being he second African-American quarterback to win a Super Bowl, along with some other thoughts on race and the NFL.

— NFL.com has its own take on Wilson’s writings.

Richard Sherman with some new comments showing that there won’t be any letup with his rivalry with 49ers WR Michael Crabtree, as he says he hopes to “choke him out” every time he plays Crabtree for the rest of his career.

— Speaking of Sherman, he will be unveiled as one of the top 10 players of 2014 as the NFL Network’s Top 100 countdown concludes tonight.

— ESPN continuing its poll of the top Seahawks plays in history.

— An NFL.com fantasy football writers says he doesn’t expect the Seahawks to decrease the carries for Marshawn Lynch this year.

— USA Today says Christine Michael could be one of the top five breakout players of 2014.

— ProFootballFocus updates its NFC West depth charts, but doesn’t change much for the Seahawks.
