The Seahawks have officially announced a few roster moves this morning.
Confirming previous news, the Seahawks announced the signings of offensive tackle Eric Winston and cornerback Terrell Thomas. Seattle also announced the signing of free agent receiver Randall Carroll. As the release above states, Carroll signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings earlier this year after spending time as a defensive back at Sul Ross State and three seasons as a wideout at UCLA, where he caught 21 passes.
To make room on the roster, Seattle placed receiver Taylor Price on injured reserve and waived offensive lineman Bronson Irwin and cornerback Chandler Fenner.
Fenner all last season on IR.
Irwin was one of nine players Seattle signed as undrafted free agents following the 2014 draft, given a signing bonus of $3,500.
Seattle has already released four of those players — Irwin, QB Keith Price, DB Jimmy Legree and tight end Chase Dixon.
The moves also confirm that Marshawn Lynch has not reported today, the sixth day of his holdout and the day his fines start to really kick in as the team can now take 15 percent of his $1.5 million signing bonus for this season. He is subject to fines of $30,000 per day for each of the first five days of his hold out.
