, The big news today will be the cutdown from 75 to 53, which began yesterday with the release of Terrelle Pryor, as well as the reported waiving of fullback Kiero Small (who wouldn’t be a surprise to see land back on the practice squad).
The deadline is 1 p.m,., and we’ll have full coverage here. Also, make sure to follow @JaysonJenks on Twitter, if you are not, as he will also be following and reporting cuts today.
, In the meantime, you can begin perusing the Times’ special NFL section, which will be in print on Sunday but much of which is already on-line (that’s one of the feature photos above, taken by John Lok). Stories include my look at the challenges of repeating as Super Bowl champs.
, A centerpiece of the section is this feature on the coaching methods of Seahawks coach Pete Carroll from Jenks.
, Times columnist Jerry Brewer, meanwhile, says one is not enough for the Seahawks.
, Larry Stone writes that while a repeat won’t be easy, the Seahawks will be better than a year ago.
, Also in our Saturday paper is my look at what we learned in the preseason.
, Pro Football Focus praised the play of Jordan Hill and Benson Mayowa against the Raiders but wondered about the game for Malcolm Smith.
, Reports out that the Rams may look at Pryor.
, Here’s a good way to track every cut throughout the NFL.
