Seahawks Daily Top 10: Fail Mary a dying topic this week

Forget that it’s Labor Day. For the Seahawks and Packers, it’s one of the biggest practice days of the week — essentially, Thursday in a normal gameweek.

It’s also the day when coach Pete Carroll holds his first gameweek press conference of the year. We’ll have coverage of that and  lots of other stuff today from the VMAC.

1, One thing that’s becoming apparent is that the teams are pretty much done talking about what happened the last time Green Bay was here. Also, here’s our notebook.

2, Seahawks.com on the roads that Brock Coyle and Garry Gilliam took to make the team.

3, Peter Schrager of FoxSports writes this will be Percy Harvin’s best year yet.

4, Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com says Russell Wilson looks ready to take his game to the next level, and also has high praise for the right side of Seattle’s offensive line.

5, Lots of news and notes on the game from Packers.com.

6, Packers.com also has this on the matchup of the Seattle defense and Green Bay offense, and this on what Carroll said to the Green Bay media Sunday.

7, The Packers say they are expecting a physical game.

8, Former Seahawks QB Matt Flynn has won the job as Green Bay’s backup QB.

9, The Packers will go with a rookie center who will have to deal with the noise at CenturyLink.
