NFL Players adopt new drug policy

The NFL Players Union today approved a new drug policy that will include HGH testing and higher thresholds for testing positive for marijuana.

Here are details from the Associated Press. And more from NFL.com. And from ESPN.com.

As the story states, penalties for some players will be reduced or lifted.

That doesn’t impact any current Seahawks as no Seattle player is currently suspended.

However, it could mean that Denver receiver Wes Welker will be eligible when the Broncos play at Seattle next Sunday.

Welker, in fact, may be able to play this week.
