Three new — and big — names were included on Seattle’s injury list Wednesday.
Among those sitting out Wednesday’s practice were running back Marshawn Lynch (back), safety Kam Chancellor (ankle) and tight end Zach Miller (ankle).
Lynch, according to coach Pete Carroll, felt some back tightness during Sunday’s game at San Diego. Carroll did not mention the other injuries when he met with the media Wednesday. Chancellor and Miller, though, played to the end of Sunday’s game at San Diego and Carroll did not mention any new injuries after the game, indicating that it may just be precautionary that they sat out today. Lynch has often sat out a practice or two during the season in past years, and at times due to the back, something he has dealt with for a few years.
Also sitting out to today was backup linebacker and key special teamer Mike Morgan (hip) and cornerback Tharold Simon, still recovering from minor knee surgery two weeks ago.
RB Christine Michael (hamstring) and LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring) were limited today while TE Cooper Helfet (knee) was listed as a full participant.
