Seahawks snap counts vs. Denver

Here are the snap counts for Sunday’s game against Denver.
There were 78 total on offense, 72 on defense.
First, a couple quick notes:
Russell Okung was out for four snaps at left tackle after hurting his shoulder in the second quarter, with Alvin Bailey filling in. So far, those are the only snaps played by anyone other than the five starters on the line.
— While it might have seemed as if the backup receiving trio of Bryan Walters, Paul Richardson and Ricardo Lockette was on the field quite a bit, percentage wise it was about the same as last week. Walters had 14 snaps, Richardson 10 and Lockette eight. Last week, Walters played 13, Richardson eight and Lockette four. So given that there were basically twice as many offensive plays, the percentage of time those guys were on the field was about the same as against San Diego.
Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril were each on the field for at least 75 percent of the snaps — Bennett 78 and Avril 75 — once again getting a lot more snaps than the 57 percent Bennett got last season, which was for any defensive linemen in 2013.
— Seattle was in a nickel for 48 of 72 snaps, with that defense once again the dominant one for the Seahawks as was the case against Green Bay and San Diego.  However, that may change a little now that the schedule brings some different-looking offensive teams the next few weeks following the bye.
— Also included are the snaps for players who saw action only on special teams. For Cooper Helfet and Kevin Pierre-Louis, those were the first snaps of their NFL career.
