Seahawks coach Pete Carroll on SiriusXM radio: Bruce Irvin to return this week

The Seahawks are off today. But coach Pete Carroll was a guest on SiriusXM NFL Radio and said among other things that defensive end/linebacker Bruce Irvin will be back for Monday’s game at Washington:

That’s no real surprise as Carroll had said after the Denver game it was expected Irvin would be back after missing the contest against the Broncos with a rib injury suffered during practice that week.

Irvin played the first two games after recovering from off-season hip surgery. He’s played almost solely at end so far, though he also is expected to play some strongside linebacker when he getse healthy, as well.

Carroll also had this to say about Washington:
