Bellevue police: Marshawn Lynch’s accuser should be charged

Bellevue police have recommended that a woman who made assault and property-damage allegations against Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch be charged for making a false or misleading statement, the Bellevue Police Department said Thursday.

Investigators found that Lynch was at a hotel about a mile from where incident occurred on Aug. 10, and that although the woman who made the allegations did have injuries, two witnesses said they were the result of a fall they saw her take, according to the Bellevue Police Department.  One witness, the man the woman thought was Lynch, said he told her multiple times that night that he didn’t play for the Seahawks.
