Seahawks Daily Top 10: The true origin of the 12th Man? And more

Sorry for the late entry this morning, but had some other stuff going on, and some other things to get on the blog.

Here are a few more things worth passing along this morning. …

1. A Texas A&M fan wants Seahawks’ fans to understand the origin of the 12th Man.

2. ESPN takes a look at some of Marshawn Lynch’s numbers to date.

3. ESPN also says the yardage stats for the Seahawks and Washington are misleading.

4. Washington’s Trent Williams says what you’d expect — that his team can beat the Seahawks. Not sure I’ve ever heard an NFL player say his team can’t win whatever game it is playing that weekend. Williams may not be able to play, with ESPN reporting that backup Tom Compton is ready if Williams can’t go (also some other Washington news from Thursday’s locker room availability in that link).

5. Seahawks.com with a preview of Washington and a look at Kam Chancellor.

6. Grantland.com’s Bill Barnwell calls Marcus Burley one of the more surprising players of the NFL season.

7. Washington tight end Niles Paul hoping to return quickly from a concussion suffered against the Giants.

9. FoxSports.com with a game preview. ESPN with five questions facing Washington heading into the Seattle game.
