Seahawks injury report: It’s a short one

The Seahawks injury report for Thursday was a short one.

Listed as already out for the game, to no surprise, is tight end Zach Miller, who had ankle surgery last week.

Listed as not participating were RB Marshawn Lynch and CB Tharold Simon.

Lynch was listed as out for non-injury-related reasons. In other words, he took a rest day, as Lynch was here and watched practice. But having him sit out the Wednesday practice (which this is with the game on a Thursday) has been a regular occurrence the last few years. In his place, Robert Turbin and Christine Michael got the reps at tailback.

Simon is still rehabbing from knee surgery and is out a couple of weeks.

Listed as a limited participant was DE/LB Bruce Irvin, listed as having an oblique injury, a more specific designation than prior to the Denver game, which he missed with a rib injury. But coach Pete Carroll said today there’s a good chance Irvin will be able to play against Washington Monday.

“We think he’s going to be fine but he’s got to get through the week to see if he’s right,” Carroll said. “It’s still just two weeks coming back from the strain that he had.”
